The QA Level 3 Award in First Response Emergency Care is designed to equip learners with the knowledge, confidence, and practical skills required to provide initial pre-hospital care during emergency and life-threatening situations. Participants will learn how to assess, treat, and stabilise patients while awaiting the arrival of a healthcare professional.
This qualification develops the essential knowledge and practical competencies needed to deliver effective pre-hospital emergency care, enabling responders to support casualties in a wide range of emergency scenarios.
Successful achievement of this qualification demonstrates that learners have met all required theoretical and practical assessment standards. However, completion of the course does not provide a licence to practise. The scope of practice for emergency first responders remain the responsibility of the employing or deploying organisation.
The qualification is regulated in the UK by Ofqual and awarded by Qualsafe Awards (QA).
